  • Less goverment assistance

The people that are going to pay the worst are the people who need the financial aid the most. My sis worked for the military for 16 years and she was recently "laid off". My daughter goes to head start are they gonna take that away? I live on social security disability am I going to get paid next month? This situation needs to be addressed asap. Obama has gone way more than half way!

  • Yes the sequester is bad for government operations and the budget.

The sequester that mandates across the board budget cuts is a bad way to run the government, it does not allow for any flexibility to move funds to areas of an agency's budget where the fund are needed. It cuts funds for military training except for units they are being deployed. Since the cuts by budget line items no adjustments are permissible.

  • Budget Cuts: Necessary Evil

Our debt it due to spending, when you are spending money you don't have. Although the media like to portray the debt as being able to indefinitely rise, the consequences of so much debt are at this point almost inevitable and crushing. There is one thing to get straight: budget cuts hurt, especially with the left trying to make them hurt so it's not done again. However, without such cuts, government spending will drive itself into he ground. Margaret Thatcher made many budget cuts, which explains the soaring unemployment in England during her rule, but in the end, the budget was balanced, spending was reduced, debt was reduced, and the jobs came back. So immediately, yes, the sequester hurts, but in the long run, it is necessary to maintain a strong and fiscally thriving country.
