American military presence on foreign land has upset many people around the world and to some extent understandably. We have troops all over and we get our big nose involved in everyone's business. We also support apartheid countries, blow people up in wars that we've started and lie to our own people (golf of Tonkin, weapons of mass destruction). We create false flags and divide people between races, religion and ethnicity.
The US economic strategies of imperialism and exploitation are creating the perfect breeding grounds for future terrorists. The constant occupation and drone strikes going on around the globe at the command of the US government are causing people to live in fear and hopelessness. This causes individuals to act as is they have no other choice than to engage in violence against America and American troops.
I personally think that the U.S. military and economic presence around the world in major way which dealt with a major cause of the terrorism that American soldiers are fighting in the War on Terror. I personally think that the U.S. military and economic presence around the world which affected so many people.
By being there we are creating things to be even worst for the world. If we pulled out things would settle down and peace would come again. As long as we are there we are stirring the pot and making them angrier. When we leave the Taliban will go back to doing nothing again.
As an American I think it is important for citizens to remember that American policy abroad isn't always in other people's favor. Furthermore, there are people in the world that look at Americans and their way of life and draw parallels to the devil. They don't understand us and they certainly don't understand our ways regarding religion. Especially when theirs requires daily prayer through out the day. We are often seen as hypocrites, wasteful, greedy, and a plethora of other things. The use of military and especially our economic presence around the world has definitely helped build these ideas against Americans and they are one of the reasons we are now fighting terrorists.
While I do think that American presence militarily in so many countries does cause tension and conflict, but the USA is not the root cause of this. For example, sectarian clashes in the middle east were taking place centuries before the United States was even a country. This was happening before the colonizaton of America.
