  • We don't owe them a thing

After 9/11, I get it that we went over there to hunt out al-Quaeda. But why are we still over there. Our military is to be used to defend the United States. They are not a real threat. We are using too much resources to make them like us, but they are not going to change their ways.

  • For so long, yes

While it's hard to know what the Middle East would be like without the presence of such strong United States involvement, the county's failure to maintain long-term peace in the region makes me question the usefulness of all of the time, money, and effort that is spent on the region. Instead, the U.S. should focus more on a global solution.

  • We're Too Involved

I think that America is too involved in Middle Eastern affairs. We have no reason to be over their, especially if you consider all of the problems the U.S. has right now. We should take care of things on the homeland before meddling in other countries' business overseas. They need to solve their own problems and so do we.

  • We are way too involved with the Middle East!

Ever since the Truman Doctrine has been passed, the United States wants to police the world. I believe we have problems here in the United States that needs to be address before policing other countries. I believe the War in the Middle East was the second George Bush just finishing what his father started!

  • We don't belong there

The US is and has been too involved in the Middle East's affairs since the first Desert Storm war under President George Bush (the first). Our meddling in a region halfway around the world has failed to have any positive impact, and has just led to unnecessary spending and suffering.

  • We have strength

We don't need to be in the affairs of the Middle East because 1. It gets to complicated and confusing in this whole thing. 2. We will produce more Refugee problems while trying to help. 3. It is very Costly in this whole process, Why do we need to put in MORE money to possibly produce our doom?

  • We have a responsibility

Ever heard of the saying "With great power comes great responsibility"? The United States is the most powerful country in the world and it is our duty to ensure throughout the world that evil people or groups will not be able to torture or destroy the lives of the innocent. The Middle East is a mess and there are women and children who are being raped, tortured and killed every single day. We have been involved in trying to set things straight over there but a certain someone thought we should be pulling our troops out before any stable authority was set in place and now we are back to square one. And now that we have been involved in the Middle East our own homeland is being threatened every single day with terrorism. So now our government has a responsibility to keep our own citizens and country safe.
