Is there a difference between actual comedy (which is really a satirical form of drama) and entertaining people to make them laugh?

Is there a difference between actual comedy (which is really a satirical form of drama) and entertaining people to make them laugh?

  • I think most so-called comedy is just entertainment

    Comedy in its strict and literal definitely is not 100% humor. A lot of it is drama trying to make a point through satire. "Seinfeld" isn't really a comedy in this regard, but entertaining mischief. Lol So I think there's a difference between the two. What do you guys think?
