  • There is to much money in sport

I think that there is to much money in sport because the money could be better spent on charities, hospitals or maybe even the environment and if we were to do money in sport then why do males get paid more then females. So that's why I think there is to much money in sport.

  • Yes, there is too much money in professional sports.

There is too much money in professional sports by far. It is a little out of hand how much they pay the players of different national league sports teams. I doubt they even have anything to do with all that money. They should still be given money for their hard work, just tone it down a bit.

  • Yes, there it is.

The amount of money some professional sports players receive is quite ridiculous. They should lessen it up a little bit, but make sure to keep it fair. I understand they work hard, and train everyday, so they deserve to be paid for that, just not over do the pay amount.

  • A resounding yes!

I have always been astounded at the amount of money in professional sports, when there are sick, starving people and children in our country. I believe professional athletes are overpaid to an exorbitant amount for what they do, and for they add to our society. If there were no sick who could not afford healthcare, and no people homeless or starving in our country, then I might change my opinion.

  • Too much money in sport

The money could be spent in hospitals or to feed the homeless. Most of the footballers wages are funded by big co-operations such as sky, or its funded by royals, this money should be spent elsewhere. Footballers should only earn money from ticket sales and shirt sales the rest should go to people in need.

  • Is there too much money in professional sports?

Absolutely YES. They play a game. A game that most play for fun and will pay to play. I understand that these athletes are exceptional. I also understand that these athletes today, give their life for the sport that they have chose. But...These athletes are no longer a "simple" player, but an asset to a company or franchise. Where else, in the "real world" can you sign an official contract of a place of employment and "hold out" while the contract is standing? Truth is...You will get fired. However, the "great" athlete today can get away with this because he/she is an asset to the owner.

  • Yes they are

While professional athletes are just playing a game and getting paid millions of dollars, there are starving families in third world countries, endangered animals, diseases, and also global warming. We could be using tat money to cure diseases and feed starving families. But instead we are giving it all to professional athletes who play for other peoples' entertainment

  • Why give so much money

Why should we give so much money to proffestional atheletes when there are many more problmes in our society. We could give money to the less fortunate, help homeless people, or even help solve cancer. There are many hard working americans putting 12-16 hours a day so they can come home and put food on the table, with little extra to spare.

  • I don't think so

I don't think that because I think that every day jobs work harder then them and they get paid less. Well, yes when it comes to the Olympics they train very hard, but the Olympics for any sport is only seven days out of the 365 days in a year.

  • We're the ones paying for it

Sports people are paid from a pot of money which predominantly comes from the people who watch it, paying for their satellite television subscriptions, as well as advertising during sports events etc etc. If we're willing to pay this sort of money to support our teams, or even just to watch as entertainment, who are we to judge how much they earn?
