Basically all these artists worth millions each have come together to "make history" through the creation and support of this new application called TIDAL, a music streaming app very similar to one that already exists Spotify.
I'm sorry but i find it absolutely disgusting. For these people to put aside their differences and genres to come together is an amazing thing, but to do so to make themselves MORE money, complain that their art isn't respected enough takes a whole new meaning on the word selfish.
Is making them famous and dirty rich simply not good enough? People like us, struggling to pay the bills everyday, homeless people on the streets, children starving to death...And yet they come together to complain they don't have enough.
How about a live aid, how about coming together to help people instead of adding more numbers to your million figured bank account.
It is us who have made them so wealthy, to complain that isn't good enough i find utterly disgusting.
I would love to hear your thoughts,
Though both Spotify and Tidal offer similar services, Tidal actually serves an important niche. Tidal may be dearer than Spotify but it justifies that price in the high quality music that it gives you access to. Tidal promises to send users songs in 1411 kbps FLAC, far above CD quality. Spotify’s best quality is about 320 kbps, which is only available to premium subscribers. Most of the time, it's about 160 kbps. So well Tidal may not make sense to casual listeners but to the thousands of people who actually care about high quality music streaming, Tidal is actually worth it.
