Is using contraceptives the best way to control the world's population?

  • Contraception really helps

As you can see, at the moment, the population is growing really fast. One may die, but many will come to the world- every minute many are born. Based on my understanding, contraceptives help prevents women being pregnant. This can be a solution ! Using this medium may help control the rapid growth of the population worldwide. Starvation, hunger , and many more will be decreased .

  • Contraceptive are a gr8 start to help slow down the population growth

Some of the no arguments seem to be because people wouldn't use them, this is not what this debate is about. Contraceptives are cheap only about 30 Hong Kong dollars per pack. In my honest opinion, contraceptives are good because that way you can avoid unwanted children. 3 more words needed

  • Accidental babies are born every year, and the use of contraceptives helps stem those types of births.

Using contraceptives to control population makes it easier for women who do not want to become pregnant to avoid it. As contraceptives do not require killing a living person, contraceptives as a form of population control can appeal to many different people, such as those opposed to infanticide, genocide, or abortions.

  • Yes

A few of the no's seem to be because people wouldn't use them, this is not what this debate is about. Contraceptives are cheap only about 30 Hong Kong dollars per pack

  • Contraceptives help to prevent pregnancy, thereby decreasing the world population.

When using contraceptives, people make a moral choice to not have children at that time in their lives. If more people who felt like this used contraception, we would not have unwanted pregnancies contributing to the population growth today, especially when we are at a point when our earthly resources are becoming limited.

  • Contraceptives are the best way to control the world's population.

While abstinence would be a good opportunity to control the world's ever-expanding population, a better choice would be contraception. Birth control pills are cheap and easy to make and distribute, as are condoms. This would allow people to continue having sex, but be less likely to get pregnant.

  • Contraceptives with proper education is more effective than abstinence imo because people are still able to get it on, and people will always want to get it on.

That being said, of course you cannot force anyone to use contraception. That's why you have to educate people early on about contraception use. Contraceptives failing? Use a condom and the pill. In my honest opinion, contraceptives are good because that way you can avoid abortions, which are costly to the government and piss people off way too much than it's worth. Better safe than sorry you pissed off a large denomination of people who won't listen to their nonsense.

  • No, because imposing population control upon humans is unnatural and anti-life. There never was any need for birth control.

Human beings are amazing creatures, created in the image of God. Every human life is of immense value and sacred, thus human population should grow wild and spread naturally. Huge numbers of people have practical, philosophical, and religious objections to all methods of birth control. I know I do. More and more people would be glad to live, so encourage large families worldwide.

  • No not really.

It is a start, but maybe not the most effective and best way to control it. The world is already very populated and is growing by the day, so it does play a role, but they are not always effective and do have a chance of failing. It would be wise to find a backup plan.

  • No, using contraceptives is not the best way to control the world's population, because not everyone would use them.

You can't force people to use contraception because, if they do not want to, they won't. The best way to control the world's population is to make it cheaper for men and women to become sterilized. The surgeries are so expensive these days, that most people can't afford it, and they end up still having more children, even though they may be trying not to.

  • Using contraceptive is not the best way to control the world's population, because it is expensive, and one must understand it in order to use it properly, too.

The world's population should not be completely dependent on a select group of countries to control it. It is unfair for people in, lets say the U.S., to limit how many children they have, if they can afford them in order to do this. People in wealthier countries are the only ones who can really afford contraceptives. One major way to control the world's population is through education and understanding.
