Is Washington, D.C. a better destination for a family vacation than New York City?

  • Washington D.C. is a better family vacation destination than New York City..

Washington D.C has a more family friendly environment than that of New York City. Though both would provide great places to visit, Washington D.C. would provide many monuments and museums to create a great family vacation. New York city would be overly crowded for a family vacation and would not provide as great of a vacation experience for a family vacation.

  • Our nations capital

As our nation's capital, I think that Washington, DC is a better destination than New York City. With all of the historic museums, monuments, and The White House. For my me its a no-brainer. D.C a has a great rail system to help you explore the many sites there are to visit.

  • Washington, D.C. is much better for family vacations

Although both cities are appealing, Washington, D.C. is a better destination for families. First of all, Washington, D.C. gives children powerful insights into our national history. They can see historic monuments such as the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Capitol, and the White House. Also, Washington has many museums that appeal to families such as the Air and Space Museum and the Museum of Natural History. Best of all, these museums are generally free of charge, making Washington a more affordable city for families. A smaller city geographically, Washington has a more attractive subway system and is easier for families to navigate.

  • Washington, D.C. is a more family-geared vacation destination than New York City

Washington, D.C. is full of historical, educational, and monumental sights. This makes it an excellent choice for families. Though New York City has a variety of sights, it doesn't have as much of an emphasis on what is family-friendly. New York City is also extremely busy and packed full of people, making it more difficult and perhaps more stressful for a family to navigate than Washington, D.C.
