While it is easy to look back to the 2014 NFL Draft and say the Texans should have picked someone else, Jadeveon Clowney was clearly the number one pick, and should have been taken first overall. He does have a bit of an injury history, but the National Football League is not easy for anyone. Any player can be injured at any time. Clowney was the proper choice.
Regardless of Jadeveon Clowney's injury that occurred during the first half of the game against the Washington Redskins, he's a great player. Some are speculating Clowney had previous knowledge of the condition of his right knee prior to this years draft but that's just speculation. No legitimate claims have been made to confirm this nor has any credible source even acknowledged the idea. The fact is that Clowney has great stats and is a consistently powerful player. The decision to draft him was a great one and once Clowney heals the Texans are going to be that much stronger.
Jadeveon Clowney is a young, promising player and amongst the top stars of the recent NFL draft. Serious team managers considered him and the Texans were the lucky one. Unfortunately, the latest injury will interrupt his training routine. Clowney is a very tough and skilled player, and once he is fully recovered, he will reconfirm his talent.
Jadeveon Clowney is a great player, just because he got hurt does not mean the Texans made a bad decision. He has shown that he is a very capable player in High School and College and can add a lot to a team. You can not judge someone just because they got hurt you have to give them time to show what they are capable of.
