Jaguars have been known to eat hallucinogenics before hunting to boost their senses: Is there a real purpose for using hallucinogenics in humans as well?
  • No responses have been submitted.
  • Humans do not require the hallucinogen boost that the jaguars use.

Jaguars live out in the wild, and need to consistently hunt in order to survive. Modern day humans do not, we can hunt perfectly fine without drug usage, and we already have a system for getting food without going out to hunt for our food. There's no purpose in humans taking hallucinogens to complete a task that is already accomplished without the use of a drug.

  • No, I don`t think so.

There is ZERO value in the use of hallucinogenics by humans. Since taking hallucinogenic drugs often causes a person to see images, hear sounds, and feel sensations that feel real but do not exist they often cause drug-induced psychosis. They distort the person capacity to recognize reality, think rationally, or communicate with others. This offers no valid for anyone to use these drugs.

  • Humans don't need hallucinogenics to perform at their best.

Hallucinogenics may provide interesting and exciting experiences for humans, but are not necessary. People looking for enhanced experiences would be better of going out into the world, seeing new places, meeting new people. Proper use of meditation techniques, combined with a program of sensible exercise and diet, would be a much better way of obtaining enhanced mental states.
