Kim Burrell criticizes homosexuals: Should people have the right to say that homosexuality is immoral?

  • It is free speech.

In the United States, we have the First Amendment. The First Amendment is a person's right to free speech. A person should be able to say whatever they want to say, as long as it doesn't threaten or offend someone else. A person should be able to say that homosexual practices are wrong, just like someone else should be able to say that heterosexual practices are wrong.

  • Yes, people should have the right to speak their mind.

The first amendment protects our right to freedom of speech. Yes, sometimes speech is ignorant and hateful, but every American has a right to speak his mind--no matter how ignorant that may be. It is unfortunate that in this day and age there are still so many filled with hatred toward those that live a different lifestyle. However, shutting down free speech is not the answer--more free speech, more debate and more dialogue are the answer!

  • Freedom of speech

People have the right to say and think anything that they wish. As unfortunate as it is, there really are still closed-minded people like this in our society today. The only thing we can do is try to educate and open the eyes of these people, and hope that future generations become less narrow.

  • Yes, people should have the right to say that homosexuality is immoral.

Yes, people should have the right to say that homosexuality is immoral. Free speech is protected under the United States Constitution. Just as Kim Burrell has the right to say homosexuality is immoral, the people who disagree with her have the right to do so publicly. Ellen Degeneres also has the right to keep her off of her show.
