Mass migration: Is cross-border crime increased as a side-effect of increased border barriers?

  • No i belive that it does not

I agree with the statements above, "No, Increased border barriers is helping maintain peace and seurity accross borders. No, the increase of cross-border crime is not a consequence of increased border barriers. I personally believe that border barriers help maintain a minimum security in our borders. The increase of cross-border crime is instead directly related to the increase of illegal immigration. As more and more people are trying to immigrate in our borders, they are creating a situation of constant instability causing states to increase security and barriers in our borders. So, the increase of cross-border crime is actually the cause for increased border-barriers."

  • Borders increase crime

Border crimes are increased by the militarization of our borders. The police and army are only making things worse, and what we need is to stop the reasons that cause people to cross the border to begin with, but doing this would require a fundamental shift in our economic system, so it's not happening.

  • Keep the criminals out.

If we were to effectively police the border, then criminals would not be able to cross it as often or commit as many crimes. We can't deport ever illegal immigrant already here, but if we deported every illegal who commits a crime (any crime, not just violent offenses), we could substantially reduce crime in immigrant communities.
