Changing the light to blinking won't hurt anyone, just save countless lives. Imagine if you were the birds that watch your friends go by instinct and die of the antennae. And no one does a thing. Besides, what if the birds are endangered? Then it's a one hundred percent yes.
What is the cost to change the light to blinking? If it isn't much, then yes, let's save the birds! I really cannot say one way or the other, and I suppose it would have to be on a case by case basis to decide if the cost of changing it is worth it in the end.
If the death toll of birds is drastically increased annually due to the colors emited from radio antennas, it is definitely worth spending the money and time to change the colors on these transmitters. We should care enough about our environment to stop causing harm to nature's beings in order to bring humans a creature comfort such as radio reception.
Birds are creatures of God, just like everything else on planet earth. Birds do not deserve to be killed by flying into radio antennas. Whatever the costs of converting the static red lights to blinking lights, it is worth it to serve even a few bird lives. Bird lives matter!
They are birds, they are stupid enough to fly into a tower no matter if it has a solid or blinking light. There is absolutely no reason to do this since it will just be a waste of money. (Which could be used toward out national debt!) You also wrote in the wrong spot.
Changing the static red light to a blinking light to reduce the death of birds by up to 70% is worth the cost. Its not like it will be an order to do it over night, it can be done during the routine maintenance and after a short while all radio antennas will be blinking. The birds makes the nature beautiful and should be protected at all cost.
