I don't think this is a question which can be answered with a simple yes or no. The answer very much depends upon many factors, such as the school chosen, and the level of interest the individual has in the subject. Most people pursuing an MBA have clear, career-related goals and I think for such people pursuing an MBA can be a very stimulating experience.
Of course, any education that one gets is going to be stimulating in some sense. And some MBA programs are creative and interdisciplinary. However, many of them are just staid sort of predictable programs that people take because they think it will give them an edge in getting promotions in business.
