According to the Graduate Management Admission Council, more than 86 percent of recent MBA graduates, are currently employed. The same report from GMAC also states that four out of five of these graduates wouldn't have been able to get their jobs without their MBA. While many of these jobs are no doubt 'business'-specific, the skills encompassed by an MBA are applicable to nearly every facet of life and industry.
Although a lot of people are getting MBA's more and more these days, there is not a lot of evidence that they will help in finding a job after graduation. In fact, many people with advanced degrees have trouble finding work that is suitable for their education. And MBA will teach you about business, but it migh not help you find a job.
