A prescription for medical marijuana is just like prescribing other medications. Doctors should look at each and every patient on a case-by-case basis because marijuana can be dangerous if overused. Patients don't need to become addicted to a gateway drug even if marijuana is a last resort in regards to pain relief.
It is my opinion that doctors should be allowed to judge use of marijuana case-by-case, just as they are allowed to prescribe other medications to patients, depending on the particular needs of each patient. Whether these doctors work for medical marijuana dispensaries or have their own practice is not important.
