  • Partial yes vote

(Most) People put money into Social Security and Medicare, so as of now it shouldn't be cut. It should however be faced out.

On the otherhand, Medicaid, Obamacare and all other means-tested programs (WIC, SNAP, Section 8, School Lunch Programs etc) should be eliminated. If we cut these programs, the budget will be more than balance and at the same time putting individual responsibility back to where it should be, on the individual.

  • It is impossible to get out of the deficit without it.

The Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and Obama Care cost more than the united states entire revenue. If we closed the military, fired the government, stopped building bridges and roads, cut everything but them, we would still be going into debt. It is the ONLY way to get out of debt. The suggestion of cutting military spending seems stupid when you consider it being impossible to pay for these programs, and if they were cut we would not have a financial problem.

  • They should be cut completely

These programs are a waste of money. They don't improve healthcare, and actually make it worse. People aren't allowed to keep their doctors as promised. Individuals are forced to sign up for and pay for these programs, which is a completely immoral action. These systems should be cut, if not eliminated completely.

  • Yes. It is too expensive.

The question and the picture basically say it all. I think welfare should be included in here. All of those things are too expensive. Some people pay no taxes and don't work at all and get these things that (some but not all) don't deserve. Take from the hardworking and give to the lazy? I know some people aren't lazy and are just struggling because of the economy problems but this is the problem and if we get rid of it things will balance out.

  • Obamacare, Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare are crucial to the welfare of the American people

Many people underestimate the importance of Obamacare, especially. It helps poor and lower middle class Americans afford the life necessity known as health care along with the other programs. What needs to be cut is military spending. We spend more than the next 8 countries combined -most of which are our allies.

  • There are better things to cut

60% of people on welfare are working. 20% are disabled. So the whole "they are just lazy moochers" argument isn't true. If you want to save money in america try not spending billions invading other countries. Military costs more than welfare. Also, it costs us american lives. As far as Obamacare, single payer would be WAY BETTER but if we did that all of the insurance companies would cry about how they are too big to fail so that will never happen. Obamacare is the best it will get as far as getting Americans the health care they need.

  • What obama care does.

Obama care helps people whom cant help themselves. If obama care was cut off many people would go homeless , hungry , and desperate. Which would cause the increase of crimes. There should be more programs helping people get jobs but just cutting off obama care would cause a depression which would eventually turn into a violent battle to maintain keep and control peace and order.

  • It's NOT CHARITY, people!

Medicare, Social Security, Food Stamps are not government charity. They should be called ENTITLEMENTS, because they've been PAID for in TAXES. The Affordable Healthcare Act is not free, either, must be purchased. The rest of the civilized world has had healthcare for many years. Not a FREE gift from other governments. Covered by TAXES1

  • Poverty Costs Money Too

Poverty itself costs a huge amount of money each year So if social security can reduce that poverty that is good for the budget. There are bigger health costs than Obamacare. One is poverty and others that can be addressed without hurting people and that will also help the budget.
