Men chant "Black lives matter" before viciously attacking white victims, police say. Is the movement going too far?

  • Yes, it has gone too far.

They are now more racist then the ones they were trying to fight.
They want segregation, I wonder what MLK would think of this.
According to them every white person is racist, which is a racist statement since you are judging based on skin color. They create violent protest and yell "What do we want? Dead cops" but when somebody shoots cops they are suprised and it is not BLMs fault.

They need to realise that the biggest cause of death in their community is murder from black on black crime and that if they are going to scream : Black Lives Matter, they are going to need to adress their own killings.

  • Yes they are

Several BLM supporters have committed violent acts. In 2014, a group of teens who went to a BLM rally hammered a white man named Zemir Begic to death. BLM supporters also killed police in NYC, Dallas and Baton Rouge. You can say the killers did not support BLM but they do seem to have been influenced by their rhetoric. Mainstream BLM continue to block highways, harass people and disrupt events which is unacceptable, cruel and entitled.

  • They are a terrorist group

They call for whites people to be killed, they call for cops to be killed, they cause riots, they damage public and private property, they obstruct traffic...

They are a crybully group who need to be arrested for breaking the law.

Real victims of racism (not people who cry wolf because that's all they can think of to try to get away with something) are being pushed aside and not taken seriously because they are not black.

Every time something bad happens in the name of BLM, someone says "oh well they aren't really BLM". But you don't see BLM "real" members telling these groups to stop.

End of the day. That group promotes hate, terrorism and destruction rather than figuring the rout of the problem and trying to fix it.

  • Black Lives Matter is not peaceful

This group never encourages peaceful protests, and when they aren't destroying property, they're hurting our police officers. Most African Americans don't even support the poisonous group; in other words, it does not speak for anyone. There have even been members of the group supporting shootings against police on camera. All in all, this group is like the KKK, except they hate non-African Americans with a passion. Oh yes, not to mention that they hate Jews now. I wonder who else will be on their hate list?

  • It always happens when the crowd gets too big

Once any movement in America starts getting headlines, it attracts headline-seekers who just want to be part of the action. These people have only a passing relationship with the original movement, but it doesn't matter because the "PR" damage done when some of these people go off the rails is typically enough to dismiss the entire movement. We saw this with OWS once a couple people got hurt at the protests.

  • Yes, this movement is going too far.

The Black Lives Matter movement is going too far with these violent attacks. Yes, African Americans have legitimate concerns that need to be addressed. Yes, Americans have the right to protests to raise awareness of important issues. However, the Black Lives Matter movement should not be used to insight violence and attack innocent people. The rhetoric at many rallies has become more violent as well.

  • Yes, Black Lives Matter has gone too far.

Yes, the Black Lives Matter movement has gone too far and has lost all credibility. It is understandable to feel frustration with racist police violence. But that does not justify joining a racist lynch mob yourself. The victims of Black Lives Matter have nothing to do with previous injustices; their only crime is having the wrong skin color. This puts Black Lives Matter squarely on par with KKK and other hate organizations.

  • No, just some members

Black Lives Matter is not a cohesive "movement" at all; literally anyone can claim to be part of the movement as an explanation for their actions. The official movement has valid worries and actions, but those good things are being corrupted by individuals who go too far while claiming to be with BLM.
