The MMA would resurrect some of the ancient games which many would find newfound intersect in that particular sport. This sport display's an extreme degree of masterful skill on a level of difficulty which deserves a part in modern olympics just as much as any other sport does which is currently part of the modern Olympic agenda. If boxing is still a sport for which Olympian's participate, then why not allow the Martial arts as a competitive sport, which many feel is a much more challenging sport?
MMA is a well respected sport, much like boxing and wrestling. It has clear rules that can be carefully measured. Not only would it be prudent to bring it back because of the history, it has also become very popular in recent years and would be watched by many people.
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) was part of the ancient Olympics and is still a popular sport today. Many of the Olympic sports are high-risk to the athletes and some are more dangerous than MMA. The sport of MMA requires years of discipline, skill and a great deal of strength. MMA incorporates all of what makes other Olympic sports great.
Though I believe that it takes an incredible amount of strength, athleticism and endurance to participate in mixed martial arts, I would not like to see it be a part of the Olympics as it is a very violent sport. That said, if enough viewers would like to watch, I think that it should be considered as an event.
