Everyone is entitled to freedom of speech, even the press, even if they are irresponsible in their words. There are some people who get up in arms about these Muhammad cartoons in comics section, and want to protest, however there is nothing to protest. Jyllands-Posten is exhibiting freedom of the press, which is a very good thing to uphold, even if the cartoons are offensive.. Jyllands-Posten should stand their ground for freedom of speech and the press.
I believe the editors of the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons should stay on board, because they are practicing their right as human beings. It is true that the cartoons may offend certain groups of religious people, however the cartoonists believe their work may bring laughter to others, and they can also continue to make money doing what they love. If we turn the controversy around, and believers of Muhammad want to create cartoons that are blasphemous to God or other religions, people of those religions would cry out as well. However, everyone has a right to their own opinions and should be able to draw and/or write about whatever they so choose.
