Some people still don't believe in global warning, so just for that reason alone I do not think that there is enough being done. Just driving down the interstate you can see so many pollutants still being released from large trucks to factories and large buildings. Here in the US we are such a wasteful country and only concern ourselves with what will make things easier for ourselves.
No, we are not doing enough to stop global warming. There are not enough people in the world that actually take global warming seriously. There needs to be huge, sweeping public opinion campaigns in order to get the word out that this is actually a huge deal. We need to think about our children and grandchildren.
Our reliance upon fossil fuels and unclean modes of energy is a combination of laziness and greed. Our energy practices are out of date and inefficient, this is inexcusable when we have perfectly good plans that could be implemented. They only survive because those who have made a fortune off oil and the like make sure that they're not ignored. They lobby and cite cost and having to start over as reasons for not changing even though the investment will pay for itself in the long run. They are, instead, focused on themselves and "now".
NASA finds Earth just had its hottest August on record. Global warming is only a theory, but we could probably still try to reverse or stop the effects of it. There are many countries that aren't helping. America is ridiculous with it's oil and China is highly pollutant. Even if we recycle and stop our emissions these countries counteract everything we are trying to achieve.
