Natural gas: Is natural gas clean when burned for energy?

  • Relatively speaking yes, it's clean

Natural gas is a pretty clean energy resource, everything when converted will release some things into the atmosphere but it seems natural gas does so in a way that isn't particularly harmful. It's certainly cleaner than other resources we rely on for energy, ones we should be focused on doing away with.

  • Yes, Natural gas is clean, when burned for energy.

In my opinion, Natural gas is clean, when burned for energy, when compared to the other fuels normally used to be burned to create energy, Natural gas is considerably cleaner to use. The coal that Natural gas is being substituted for is much worse for the environment and the burning is done at a very high temperature.
