Do you like flammable tapwater? No? How about increased risk of earthquakes? Still no? Ok, what about polluted air and damaged landscapes? Well, fracking for natural gas causes all of those things. Natural gas is, at best, an energy stopgap anyways. We will have to develop renewable and sustainable energy in order to maintain our standard of living.
No, the environmental footprint from natural gas drilling is not tolerable. This is also known as fracking and it is causing damage to not only the environment, but to people and their lives. A lot of natural gas is getting into the drinking water in many towns and contaminating the drinking supply.
