NBA playoffs round 1: Knicks (yes) vs. Celtics (no). Who will win?

  • Celtics aint going no where this year , Knicks are going to Conference Finals against Miami.

During the post season the NYK won 3/5 games against the celtics, & the knicks D appears to be back , they hungry. Melo is hungry so is JR , Martin novak with that killer 3 , Ferton with the handling skills and layups down in the paint. Not to mention the asisst from Jason Kidd and the contested D and offense of Shumpert. Keep going?
Mact of fact Boston are getting swept.

  • Celtics Too Old To Keep Up With Knicks

The Knicks clearly have the best player on the court in Carmelo Anthony, who, in a Lebron-less league, would be a serious contender for league MVP. The Celtics aging stars consistently fade in the fourth quarter against quality teams and are nearing the end of their mostly successful run in Boston. The Knicks inside game will prove to be too much for the Celtics to keep up with. Knicks will win the series in five games.

  • Knicks will win.

The Knicks are not the same team that entered the playoffs last year. They have upgraded at almost every position and they have their superstar player Carmelo Anthony who just won a scoring title that they can rely on in games when their team shooting goes cold. The Celtics are a year older and they have not upgraded their roster significantly from the previous year. The Celtics in fact come into the playoffs missing a main piece of their offense in Rondo. The Knicks are just too great of an offense to lose to the Celtics who although are great defensively they do not have a great offense to keep up with the Knicks.

  • New York Knicks

The New York Knicks are a more balanced team with Jason Kidd, Marcus Camby, Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith as the starters. Carmelo Anthony is one of the prolific scorers in the NBA. The Knicks are a balanced team consisting of both veterans and young players. The Celtics were good but lost some good players like Ray Allen. They are not as good as they used to be.

  • Celtics take it

I'd expect a long series but the Celtics have been here before, while I don't think they're a championship contender they should go deep in the playoffs. Saying the loss of Ray Allen has any relevance is beyond laughable, they've had an entire season to play without him and have long since washed their hands of his frontrunning ways.
