Network neutrality: Is it important for all sites to be treated equally?

  • Network Neutrality is critical to a functioning democracy

An Internet without network neutrality is not an open Internet. Do you really want Verizon or Comcast to decide what sites you get to see? Network neutrality is the only thing that is keeping the major telecoms from censoring the sites you like to read. Open discourse and media is the most important part of the Internet and we must fight to preserve that.

  • Websites Should All Have Same Opportunity

The internet has become the great equalizer. Where else can a person with nothing be able to create a website, begin selling an item and become a millionaire or billionaire. No where else is it possible for anybody to make money from nothing. The this is possible is because the internet is currently a level playing field. Network neutrality will take that away.
