The plane couldn't have vanished - it has to be somewhere, so hopefully this new satellite image will finally lead to finding wreckage of the plane. Once they find something, we can start determining what happened to the plane and give closure to all of the families that have been suffering for weeks now.
The satellite images are offering the best leads in tracking down the location of the missing Flight 370. The analysis of the images indicates that the debris seen is highly likely to be from Flight 370. If the debris were flotsam not related to the flight, it would most likely still be floating. Debris from the plane is more likely to appear and then sink.
The piece that really needs to be recovered is the black box. It should give us information about why the plane crashed and what was said in the cockpit over the last two hours before it crashed. Finding debris gets us closer to this black box. If we find small pieces of debris, we might be able to find larger pieces if we look.
No not where their looking. Try cocos islands which is part of the southern route. Use google earths satelite and notice the floating objects. Also zoom in to see what appears to be parts of a plane under water. I saw these items along with something orange and square blackbox?
Not for years to come. It crashed and it is more than likely scattered all over the place. It will take years to find the pieces that are around. The currents of the ocean will move these pieces with time so they will move fairly fast that is going to be the hard part.
