If god truly existed, then god would find that child and make them believe regardless of who teaches them what's what. God is a limitless being; god should be able to tell kids/individuals that he exists and show them, not the parents. This is fairly sad considering we never truly want to hear what kids have to say, and we try to act as if we care about what the child thinks. A loved one of mine was forced to follow religion, and was scared of being cast out by her family for not believing in god. It was scary, and definitely not right. In this case, I can guarantee many children feel the same, and should be able to make their own decision in life on whether they wish to be religious or not.
