Paris bomber's cell phone found in paperwork: Should the police have found the cell phone sooner?

  • Paris bomber's cell phone found in paperwork: The police should have found the cell phone sooner

Paris bomber's cell phone found in paperwork: The police should have found the cell phone sooner. How on earth could they have missed it after all this time? This sounds to me like extremely inept police investigative work, at a minimum. Or, some kind of coverup at the very worst.

  • Yes, this is true.

I strongly believe that the police should have found the cell phone sooner. This is because it the work of the police to be thorough in their search. This is because this was a late discovery. Having found Paris bomber's cell in paperwork was not the best discovery since it was not as soon as expected of them.

  • Police not to blame

Although the facts highlighted in the headline, namely that the Paris Bomber's cell phone was found within paperwork, seem to portray the police and investigators in a very negative light it does not take into account the huge and unwieldly amounts of evidence and related materials that these same police forces would have had to work through in the wake of the bombings.

  • It was an honest oversight.

After an event as serious as the Paris bombing, there is chaos. There is so much that a police department needs to do, and they are likely untrained to do it. There are many things that law enforcement did right after the bombing. They did not lose the cell phone on purpose and it's a good thing they found it when they did.
