Donald Trump's tweets are an absolute embarrassment to the United States. That we elected such a petty, ignorant, angry and vengeful person to the most important position in our government should make everyone in the country feel ashamed. Trump and his supporters pretend to be strong and tough. They call liberals "snowflakes" who need "safe spaces." Meanwhile, Trump is offended by everything, and constantly feels the need to lash out at anyone who offends him in any way by throwing Twitter temper tantrums. He is not strong at all; he is a very fragile human being, which is not a good attribute for a president.
Yes, Trump's tweets seem to be a sign of weakness. They are usually written in a defensive manner, whenever someone questions Trump or is negative toward him in any small way. They are also written as attacks on the offenders, meant to be harsh but really coming off as silly. It seems like a classic case of a weak person bullying others to cover for their weaknesses.
Donald Trump's tweets are not a sign of weakness. In all actuality, it is a sign of the times and taking advantage of the social media medium that is capable of reaching an audience that the mainstream media does not. God knows the mainstream media will do everything in its power to hurt Trump. Twitter is an excellent outlet to get his word out. And, using social media is no different than when John Kennedy used television, or Franklin Delano Roosevelt used radio.
I think he knows exactly what he is doing. Stirring up the masses keeps them to busy and entertained to focus on his non-existent policies. I have no doubt that Trump has an agenda that reveal itself in time. While we are enjoying his Tweets, he is laughing all the way to the bank.
