Plug-in hybrids: Will the plug-in hybrid car help reduce emissions, combat global warming?

  • Yes, it sounds like it would.

A hybrid is generally considered to be a good idea in the first place in terms of reducing emissions and fighting climate change. A plug in hybrid would be even better at that because it would be using electricity in the most efficient way and eliminating our reliance on fossil fuels and their emissions.

  • Yes they will.

Hybrid cars use so much less gas and this will help to reduce emissions and combat global warming to a great extent. If we all drove hybrid cars and carpooled whenever possible this would cut emissions quite a bit and help fight global warming. This isn't possible at this time but may be in the future if the cars drop in price some.
