Police officer shot and killed in Kansas City, Kansas: Is gun violence a threat to the American way of life?

  • Yes, unfortunately it is.

These are the actual facts the US has 1.4 million violent gang members in the US. Chicago alone has 150,000 which is more than The UK, Australia & Canada combined. Any law passed to "control" these weapons, will only result in law-abiding citizens turning in their guns. Every gun was legally bought at some point, to say that criminals don't legally acquire guns is just plain wrong.

  • Yes, it hurts both civilians and police

The idea that the pervasiveness of guns is only something that effects the lives of civilians misses the big picture. The pervasiveness of guns leads to more police casualties, as well as making them more trigger happy as a result. This pervasiveness is leading to a societal crisis that the American government and people need to address.

  • Yes, let people have become wreckless with guns.

Gun violence is a great threat to the American way of life, the increased number of shootings from both the police and ordinary people is a clear indication of the height of recklessness that has befallen our society in a greater way. It high time we introduced gun control mechanism before things get out of hand.

  • Yes, gun violence is a threat to the American way of life.

Gun violence is a huge fear in America, especially in light of the mass shootings that have occurred over the past few years. The incidents of gun violence that have occurred are often unwarranted, and this causes a great deal of fear among citizens. The fact that a great deal of popularized stories are regarding gun violence against African Americans and police officers makes these populations feel specifically targeted, diminishing the sense of security many Americans once felt.
