Public sale of criminal property: Is the public sale of criminal property a legitimate practice?

  • The public sale of criminal property is a legitimate practice.

The public sale of criminal property is a legitimate practice. When you are arrested and your stuff is repossessed, like your cars and guns and other things, it is right and fair for the government to sell your stuff so they can profit. You have already done some thing fairly bad to warrant your stuff being taken, so it is right for the government to sell it.

  • Bucks From Sale of Crooks' Property Repay State

Do you think the public sale of criminal property is a legitimate practice? I maintain that is legitimate. The state and its people have been damaged by criminal acts. It the criminal property of the convicted has value and does not consist of items that would be harmful or dangerous to citizens, I see no reason why the state should not recoup some if the loss it the its populace incurred on account of the crime, by selling said items at public auction.
