Publishing images of Muhammad: Should newspapers or individuals publish images of Muhammad?

  • Rule of law first

The civil rules of law come above all other rules, including (especially) religious laws. Freedom of speech and freedom of the press are farm more important than not offending others and, while content might be offensive or in incredibly bad taste, the papers/individuals are not at fault. Nobody brings violence or threats of death upon themselves for something they write.

  • The Right to Freedom of Speech: Against Religion Included

If someone wants to publish the image of someones holy man, then they should have every right to do so. We do not live in an Islamic society, and we are (for the most part) not Muslims. We do not have to obey the religious taboos of a religion we do not subscribe toward or believe in.
