Ron Paul: The U.S. has learned nothing from Iraq and Afghanistan. Agree (yes) or disagree (no)?

  • The U.S. has learned nothing from Iraq and Afghanistan

The U.S. has learned nothing from Iraq and Afghanistan and continues to make the same mistakes in many other foreign theaters as the years go on. More good would be done in these countries by administering aid and encouraging education instead of sending troops and creating more problems in our own society by abandoning soldiers broken by war. The U.S. will continue to extend itself until it is stretched so thin other countries can start breaking off pieces for their own use.

  • The U.S. has forever become more skeptical of engaging in wars

Every U.S. President will want to engage in military conflict for some reason, but the futility and idiocy of the Iraq and Afghanistan invasions has forever soured the taste of war in the palettes of Americans as a whole. Never again will Americans be able to blindly and mindlessly follow a President into war, without thinking of these two catastrpohes.
