Russell Brand was eligible to receive half of Katy Perry's millions but declined. Are fights over a money a way to hold on to the relationship?
  • I agree somewhat that fights over money are a way to hold on to a relationship.

During a divorce, if the couple fights over money or assets, it could mean multiple things. Perhaps one spouse is being unreasonable and the other spouse will no longer put up with it. Another reason could be that they are struggling to let go of the relationship and are grasping at straws. Another reason may be that they are simply trying to cause pain and emotional stress.

  • Yes, well why should he speak to her really? They were married for just over a year and from what they have both said a lot of that time they lived pretty separate lives.

Why would he call her? They're divorced.I have no contact with my ex husband and that's the way I like it. No one deserves what she got from him - she's a decent woman and the story that he wanted kids is ridiculous! She would be a single mother now, lumbered with a kid he probably wouldn't care about - All you fools that get taken in by brand are probably people who fail in relationships repeatedly

  • Money can make people do things

Russell Brand saw an opportunity but decided not to take it because he would rather be free from relationship. It was not worth it to stay in the relationship. KAty Perry, just like any famous person would have liked to use her money to keep a hold on the important people in her life.

  • Fights over money are not a way to hold on to the relationship.

Russell Brand was eligible to receive half of Katy Perry's millions but declined. Russell Brand seems to support the view that fights over money are not a way to hold on to the relationship. Truly, relationships are not about money and celebrities such as Russell Brand state the point very clearly.
