We are not overreacting to environmental issues. It is important to pay attention to environmental issues because our future depends on it. The environment has a huge impact on crops, used to feed many, and failure to react to environmental changes could lead to less food. Furthermore, the vehicles we use everyday have an impact on the environment. If we do not react appropriately to changes in the environment, we fail to prepare for the future. I believe there is no such thing as overreacting to environmental issues.
The actually number of trees that are in existence is not the issue. The real problem is the alarming rate at which they are continuing to disappear, and the large percentage that have already disappeared. It is definately good news that there are more trees, but it does not change the rest of the facts.
The idea that the discovery of more trees does anything to alleviate the vital environmental concerns that everyone on the planet should have is very foolhearty. Even with this readjustment of figures there are still major environmental issues that need attention. From global climate change, drought, and pollution, the environment is still an issue of vital importance.
Despite a larger number of trees, the world still faces many environmental challenges. Environmental health has to do with a lot more than just the number of trees. Things like rising temperatures, pollution and destructive practices still threaten the Earth. Perhaps the biggest challenge is people who claim there is no problem and continue with destructive behaviors.
