  • Hollywood, Age Discrimination for Men Too.

You may be as shocked by this as I was, especially if you ever saw the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, a movie where Brad Pitt plays Benjamin, a man you begins to age reverse. What makeup artists can do with a persons face is nothing short of amazing. With that in mind I find it much ado about nothing when Hollywood would say to Seth Rogen that he is too old to play a character he wrote himself, based on himself. It makes one wonder if they not be trying to find someone they can pay less money to.

  • Yes it does

Yes it does lose talented performers by placing age restrictions. Seth Rogen was considered too old for the character that he created, based on himself in the movie "Superbad". American is currently obsessed with growing old, or shall I say not growing old. It is in relation to the size-zero models that are used in place of plus-size models.

Yes, Hollywood loses talented performers by placing age restrictions. Seth Rogen was considered too old to play the character he wrote based on himself in the movie "Superbad" by Hollywood. When one considers the fact that he wrote the part, he may have been the best for it. Age restrictions should be eliminated in Hollywood.

  • Sometimes they do.

In the case of Seth Rogen in Superbad, that was his choice and it all stems from presentation. Filmmakers need to convince the audience that somebody is a certain age. Jonah Hill was the same age as Rogen but looked a lot younger and was able to play someone in High School. The same case with Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls who was thirty playing a High School girl. It all depends on the look.
