There should not be a limited number of people allowed to vote in elections. The model for America's democracy ensures that every person is entitled to a vote, as long as they are of legal age and not a convicted felon. To limit the number of people allowed to vote would make no longer make America a democracy, but maybe an aristocracy.
Everybody in this country should be allowed to vote in all elections, no matter how many people populate this great country. Everybody earns the right to vote at 18, and if they register, they should be allowed to vote. It is a privilege to vote that many across the planet cannot say they have.
There probably is a select group of people that think a limited number of people should vote. They probably think it should be all rich people and people who hold down steady jobs. They probably think young people should not vote. These are the people that keep the system rigged and why the people who are struggling can never improve their lives. This is why everyone needs to vote, because we then could stop these people from rigging the system.
I strongly believe in compulsory voting, even though it does take a piddling freedom away; the freedom not to vote in an election. The reason I like compulsory voting, especially if it were to happen in the United States, is because the Republican party would immediately die off and wither away.
I do not think a limited number of people should be allowed to vote in elections. Limiting the number of people would open the system up to fraud and make it far less balanced. Secondly this would lead to a race to the polls which could easily turn violent when people are turned away.
