Should adults that enlist the service of child soldiers be charged with war crimes for doing so?

  • Child warfare is wrong

Conscripting children into being soldiers is no more right than forcing those same children into slavery. Both are, and should be considered, humanitarian crimes. Unless a child has the freedom of choice to join the military, militia, pirates, etc. then it is absolutely wrong and should be a war crime. This decision should come in at whatever the cultural age of consent is in a region, not necessarily a global standard. If a child freely makes the choice and is above a reasonable age of consent, then it should be legal.

  • There is no penalty harsh enough for using children as soldiers.

Yes, I agree that adults that enlist children as soldiers should be charged with war crimes. There is nothing more heinous than adults bringing innocent children into wars. Making them act as soldiers is cruel and heartless. The adults responsible for doing this should be punished to the fullest extent of which ever law convicts them.

  • It is inhumane.

Yes, adults that enlist the service of child soldiers should be charged with war crimes for doing so, because they are doing something inhumane by using children. The children are bound to be hurt, killed, or traumatized by being used in the war. The adults that are in charge of this should have to pay for hurting their own children.

  • Yes They Should

I believe adults that enlist the service of child soldiers should be charged with war crimes for doing so. Children can be taught to act in many different ways, but turning them into a military unit is wrong. I think the majority of people agree with that and it should not be allowed.
