  • Yes we should!

For the people who disagree or are not sure what you think on the subject just ask yourself this simple question, "what kind of Earth would you like you children to live in?" As of now we are just creating the mess without a care in the world, but they are going to be the ones who are going to have to clean it up, that is if it can be. If we recycle now and all work together we do not have to put all of the burden on our children. They can grow up getting used to recycling and pass it on to their children and etc. People say "But we live in the United States we have FREEDOM!" okay but don't we all follow laws? Even those that aren't necessarily law but the norms of our culture. So why is it we can follow so many laws, yet we fight on following one that is helping our Earth last longer and, in the long run, better equipped for generations to come?

  • YES everyone needs to recycle to help keep what god made pure.

Recycling can help the earth stay pure. Plastic bottles can be turned into clothes, soda cans can be made into metal that can be made into more useful things like building parts, old newspapers can be turned into a many number of things such as toilet paper, paper towels and MORE newspapers. The point is everyone needs to recycle because it will help keep what God made pure and clean.

  • I believe that all citizens should have to recycle because we would have access to the cleaner world we've been wanting.

The more we recycle the more resources we have. If we were to recycle more paper we would not need to cut down as many trees. If we are putting posters and making it such a large argument, then why not require recycling. People shall be more willing to recycle when they see this being 'the next big thing'.

  • Are you going kill the earth!

If you run a landfill, you are really littering with a bunch of garbage. You know if the whole world turns into a landfill the world goes POOF and BOOM the world is gone and everybody including you will all die in 30 sec. Because you will be in space and there will be no heaven! So Recycle today and everyday

  • Are you really going to kill the earth!

Landfills are huge garbage dump that has littered so much that if the whole world turns into a landfill, POOF! The world is gone! That will mean everybody on the earth will die including YOU! That will be real sad if everybody dies and you will be risen to nothing because heaven will be goon and god will too. So Recycle Today and everyday! Yay!

  • How would you like to be forced into doing something?

Americans should recycle, but wouldn't it be more affective if people chose to on there own. Yes, it would be great if everyone recycled, but they shouldn't be forced to. In my opinion, people will recycle more and more people will recycle if they are not forced to. Thank you for reading my argument for the con side and have a good day.

  • Saving our world is for our generations to come.

Everyone should be required to recycle because for our great grandkids and our great great grandkids, they should be able to live a better life than we did. We may not live the best of life but i think just because we don't our grand kids should. Everyone in life deserves to have it better off.

  • Yes They Should!

Recycling is important because it actually saves us food. When the trash we don't recycle gets dumped, it kills animals. When we don't have any meat because all the animals died, all the people who said no, recycling shouldn't be mandatory are going to be sorry. No hate here please!

  • No they shouldn't

We are not going to kill the earth! The earth is literally impossible to kill! You can travel all around America, and tell me how many places you see with piles of trash everywhere. You will not see piles of trash everywhere. Sure it's fine to recycle, but we shouldn't be forced to do it. That's what America's about right? FREEDOM! Back to the first subject. Stop saying were going to kill the earth cause were not!!! The only one who can kill the earth is God.

  • How would you like to be forced into doing something?

Americans should recycle, but wouldn't it be more effective if people chose to on their own. Yes, it would be great if everyone recycled, but they shouldn't be forced to. In my opinion, people will recycle more and more if you do not force them to recycle then if you do force them to recycle.

  • No They Shouldn't

Americans should not be forced to recycle. First of all, garbage collection companies often can and do profit from separating recyclables on their own without the need for legal intervention. Secondly, in some cases it is more efficient from a carbon emission perspective to simply create more materials than to expend the energy to recycle certain things.

  • No, recycling as we know it may not be that beneficial

The big business of recycling isn't actually all that beneficial to the earth. Yes, reusing things is good for the earth, but the current methods of recycling glass and aluminium can actually be pretty harmful themselves. If we require everyone to recycle we will up that harmfulness to much higher levels.

  • US citizens should not have to recycle.

No one should have the right to tell Americans that they have to recycle. It should be up to the individual person. Telling a person that they have to recycle is taking away that individuals freedom of choice. Not recycling is not harming another person. Telling an American what they can and can not do (as long as it does not harm another person) is another case of big brother watching.
