Should Americans be allowed to import prescription medication from other countries?

  • Yes, it could help.

Americans should be able to import prescription medication from other countries if the country we are in does not currently have it, or able to give it away. It would make a big difference for some people between having and not having a prescribed medicine. If it necessary though they shouldn't so America makes the profit.

  • Yes, Americans should be able to purchase their prescription medication from any legal source.

Yes, Americans should be able to import prescription drugs from other countries. The free enterprise system is a founding component of our country. If Americans are able to purchase their medication from cheaper sources than those found in the United States, they should be able to do so. In the spirit of competition, pharmaceutical companies should be willing to accept this. Additionally, since many of those medications are developed and/or manufactured in the U.S., they should not even be available at a cheaper price than in their country of origin.
