Should an oldie classic be restored only or should it be remastered?

  • Yes for remastered, no for restored only

Mind you, oldies also are enhanced for digital quality, however it's a mile of difference from complete remastering. Restoration is not the same as remastering. As a film gets older, it starts to have problems. What restoration is is that the film is restored, through process, to its original quality.
