  • In my opinion. Specific animal testing is nessessary.

I do agree animal testing for cosmetics is horrible. For Medical purposes i do agree that it will benefit man and animal kind. Where do you think the meds for our pets and other animals come from? How did they know if it works if they dont do animal testing?

As bad as this sounds, sacrificing a few hundred animals to save the lives of thousands maybe tens of thousands of animals.

I do agree tho that some testing should be conducted on the filth of this world like horrible criminals, rapist pedophiles etc.

  • Save the Human Population

If you see because of an experiment it is murder. Do you really want that scientists to get in trouble for YOUR death. Yes I know it is sad. But... Maybe we could use false chromosomes to test it. I still say yes, but we can't let humans die. If you didn't know, the war has been going on and humans are being killed as we speak. We can't do this any more. We need animals to be tested. Just certain kinds. Rats produce more the twenty babies every other day. We need animals for experiments.

  • It helps animals too

It is very evil but it helps animals as much as it helps us and would you rather them then us. If you had yo chose between a person or 100 rats which would you pick? It doesn't even harm the enviorment either the animals where breaded in labs and even animals benifit from animal testing.

  • Yes, but only in necessary circumstances.

When animal testing is used for things that are frivolous such as cosmetics or are used for medical reasons that could be accomplished in other ways but would need more money or time, then there should be no animal testing. For necessary research that would save human lives, perhaps that is fine.

  • Animal Testing Is Beneficial

I believe animal testing should be allowed. Testing animals affords us the chance to test product, before testing them on other humans. This adds an additional line of safety to ensure that humans are safe with the introduction of new medicines and products. Without the animal testing, we would have to test directly on humans.

  • Necessary Evil to Save Humans

Animal experimentation is a necessary evil to make human life better in today's contemporary society. Yes, it harms mammals. Yes, thousands of mice, rabbits, cats and dogs are probably hurt each year doing so. However, humanity should come first in this case. Animal experimentation is just as cruel as the millions of abandoned pets each year dropped off at shelters to be euthanized--those pets didn't do anything to deserve that life. Solve the homeless pet problem before we solve animal testing. Better yet, let's solve homeless and hungry humans first before we fix animal testing.

  • Animal Testing Should Be Allowed

    Animal Testing Should be Allowed
Animal testing should be allowed. Animals have contributed to many life- saving cures and treatments. They also benefit themselves from the result of animal testing, and after all, some cosmetics and healthcare products have to be tested to ensure their safety.
Animals have contributed to many life-saving cures and treatments. Thanks to animal research, many diseases that once killed millions of people every year are either treatable or have been eradicated altogether. Chris Abee, Director of the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center's animal research facility, states that "we wouldn't have a vaccine for hepatitis B without chimpanzees," and says that the use of chimps is "our best hope" for finding a vaccine for Hepatitis C, a disease that kills 15,000 Americans annually. Immunizations against polio, diphtheria, mumps, rubella, and hepatitis save countless lives, and the survival rates from many major diseases are at an all-time high, thanks to the discovery of new drugs, medical devices and surgical procedures. According to the American Cancer Society, the fight against cancer has seen 24 significant biomedical advances in the past 30 years. None of them could have occurred without animal research.
Animals benefit from the result of animal testing. Animal research for animal health also has resulted in many life-saving and life-extending treatments for cats, dogs, farm animals, wildlife and endangered species. Pacemakers, artificial joints, organ transplants, freedom from arthritic pain, and vaccines for rabies, etc all contribute to longer, happier and healthier lives for animals. New treatments for glaucoma, heart disease, cancer and hip dysplasia can save, extend or enhance the life of a beloved pet, and new reproductive techniques are helping to protect threatened species. Vaccines for rabies, canine parvovirus, distemper, and feline leukemia virus have kept many animals from contracting these fatal diseases. Treatments for heartworm infestation, therapies for cholera in hogs, etc are all now available because of animal research.
Some cosmetics and healthcare products have to be tested to ensure their safety. American women use an average of 12 personal care products per day, so product safety is of great importance. The US Food and Drug Administration endorses the use of animal tests on cosmetics to "assure the safety of a product or ingredient." China requires that all cosmetics be tested on animals before they go on sale, so cosmetics companies must have their products tested on animals if they want distribution in China. Mosquito repellent, which helps protect people from malaria and other dangerous illnesses, must undergo toxicological testing (which involves animal testing) in order to be sold in the United States and Europe.
To conclude, animal testing should be allowed. Animal testing has contributed to many life-saving cures and treatments, it helps the animals themselves, and cosmetics and healthcare products have to tested, to ensure their safety otherwise it won't be good for the people and the “inventors.” Animal testing should be allowed.

  • Animal testing made vaccines.

Think about the vaccines you or your pets had. If you have a dog, your dog would have had a rabies vaccine. You know how it was made? French scientist Louis Pasteur grew rabies virus in rabbits then drying the affected nerve tissue to waken the virus. I believe animal testing should be allowed

  • No No No

Animal testing should not be allowed because animals have their own rights to live. Humans are not supposed to shoes for them. 1.4 animals die each year because of animal testing.
More than 100 million animals suffer and die in the U.S.A. every year in cruel chemical, drug, food, and cosmetics tests as well as in medical training exercises and curiosity-driven medical experiments at universities.
Examples of animal tests include forcing mice and rats to breath in toxic fumes; forcing dog’s to eat pesticides, and dripping corrosive chemicals into rabbits’ sensitive eyes. Even if a product harms animals, it can still be marketed to consumers.

  • NO Animal testing Should become illegal!

Animals test on the arthritis drug Vioxx showed that it had a protective effect on the hearts of mice, yet the drug went on to to cause more than 27,000 heart attacks and cardiac arrests before it was pulled from market. Sure we share 95% of our DNA with mice but the other 5% is very risky. Because in the 1950's sleeping pill thalidomide, which had been tested on mice caused more than 10,000 babies to be born with deformities. The US Department of Agriculture, reported in 2010 that 97,123 animals suffered pain during experiments. Over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused in labs every year. 5,996 rabbits, 33,652 guinea pigs, and 48,015 hamsters are killed in labs for medical testing! That's not good!!

  • Animals do not deserve this rude approach. Animals are same as humans: they have feelings, thoughts and they DO feel pain as people.

Animals do not deserve this rude approach. Animals are same as humans: they have feelings, thoughts and they DO feel pain as people. What if a scientist or any speacialist would test his product on people? Of course, he will be arrested for such actions. But what about our brothers - animals? We are not the only ones who live on this planet. Earth is not belong to us only, Earth belongs to animals too. That is why we must respect their rights and do not kill them.

  • Animal Testing Is Horrible And Inhumane

I have seen videos of animal experimentation, and I had to fling of my headphones with tears streaming down my face. It is a horrible thing to see, and I dont even want to know how it feels like. Animals feel the same things we do, they do not deserve such a horrible fate. I say NO animal testing should be permitted. Sure, it helps man kind, but what is going to help animal kind? Is it fair to the animal that lived her before us to just be used for such horrible and cruel things? Nobody deserves this.

  • Animal testing is horrible

If you have an animal at home like a dog, cat, parrot, etc. those animals are being killed every 3 hours! Think, animals have feelings too; they can fell pain! ANIMAL TESTING SHOULD BE BANNED! There are animals dying. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT IS STOP TESTING! PLEASE HELP!

  • No animal test should not be allowed

Have you ever been used as a test subject? At least 26 million animals are tested on every year. The animals can’t speak for themselves but you can help save them. Animals are tested as scientifically and chemically.Lads don't use the types of animals you think they use dogs, cats, birds and even, fish. You might not think this can hurt the animals but it does.
There is a law that says animals only stray animals can be tested on I think that is wrong. Scientist Kate Shaw Yoshida said one of her fellow workers said although it hurts the animals are getting hurt it well help humans live long. For an example they gave a old dog pill that was supposed to help them live longer i killed him within 3 hours.
