  • Animals also have rights.

As a human we have liberty, which is freedom, choice etc. And also animals has the right to live, and the right to choose. But is it right to take the freedom or the life of animals just because we want to research? NO. It's not right to kill and make them suffer for us. Animals have emotions. They have thoughts, ideas, feelings. They also suffer. If we just kill and make them suffer, we are taking the freedom and the life of other animals. To protect the animal's liberty and life we should ban animal testing.

  • Yes animal testing must be banned !

Animals are born to be free and enjoy discovering the world and helping people , why do us humans harm animal ..Its not fair its so evil STOP IT JUST STOP ! Animals are so innocent and kind to us the only thing we should do as humans is take good care of them and play with them .

  • Animals don't deserve this

Animals are just like us: they breath, eat, sleep, give birth to young and feed there Young's (mammals) should they not be treated like us? Of course! It also makes me wrathful to see those adorable creatures suffer. Animals have feelings and have to be respected, not only that but some of us are carnivore, this means animals that feed on flesh.
Do we eat dog food? No, so if medicine were to be tested, it may have different effects. For example if an animal had been tested, it might feel perfectly normal but if it was you, it will have a different outcome. And if you are in need of those medicine. LET IT BE TESTED ON YOU! So live those innocent animal in peace.

  • Read it please

Ban it now! Don't you care about these animals suffering?!?! What if I sprayed bleach in your eyes? Would you think its nothing! Consider this please! Enough animals are dying and suffering in the wild, why do you want to top it up? They may not be able to tell you this, but they have feelings to you know!? What if you lost your voice and some scientists took you and smeared you in poisen and you couldn't say anything what would you do? You would suffer in silence!! THINK ABOUT OUR BELOVED CREATURES BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.

It is very cruel Why should animals stay in cages for the rest of their lives and only be let out when tested and sometimes they even get put down after been testing or but back into their cages. It is not fair at all. Imagine you sitting in a cage for the rest of your life. They have feelings too.

Animals have feelings to Animal experimentation has been a commonly debated subject for many years, is it cruelty or science? About 1.4 million animals die each year from animal testing. This is because of harsh ways animals are treated like by their experimenters. Animals should be free of the cruelty scientists expose them to because they have just as much sentient as humans do.

Ban it!!!! And if you disagree...... It is absolutely imperative that we ban animal testing due to the fact that...
    -waste of money
-90 percent of medicines tested on animals fail on humans
-they feel pain just like us
-they haven't done anything to us
    got it? You should !
And if you still don't get it , just get it !

An end to animal testing. We're now living in the 21st century, and subjecting animals to long and painful experiments is no longer needed to advance as a society. Banning animal testing will in no way hurt any advancements in the future. 9 out of 10 times, the testing is found inaccurate in the end anyways. We now have alternatives such as bio-engineering and computer modeling that can provide us better, more accurate results than animal testing. It's also a much faster and cheaper method.

Animal testing illegalized Animal testing should be illegal! Hurting animals is the same way as hurting people. Someone can easily hurt anyone just like a animal. I don't think a human would like to be getting hurt and would like to suffer, animals have feelings and would like someone to love them not hurt them.

  • End Animal Testing

IT is a very very bad thing that is very cruel to animals. If we were the animals would we like it. NO we need to stop doing this to animals . The will be less likely to love us. We could be hurting them that is not fair at all.

  • Yes animal testing should be banned!

Isn't it just too cruel to watch an animal, another life force, organism, die right in front of your eyes? Everyone has a right to live, and yes, they are just as much the same as humans. Imaging if another superior life force were using humans to test our planet just like we do for science. Horrible, isn't it. So therefore, animal testing should definitely be banned!

  • What's the point?

We are killing these poor animals, what did they do to us? I mean really? This is to the girls out there, is it really worth blinding a monkey to have a new mascara? During the research process animals are killed and harmed, isn't killing an animal the same thing as murder? If you are thinking what if there was a "deadly" disease out there and that a doctor thought they found a cure to it but they need to test it before putting it on the market and they should test it on an animal. Well I don't get your point? An animal has the same feelings, rights, etc as a human should have. And besides if the animal was in a unusual environment they might feel scared and stressed out so if you were to test the animal the results will not be accurate. And some people believe that us humans and animals have different ways of reacting to things, animals might be resistant to a product that may kill us. You don't know. So is taking and suffering an animals life necessary and ethical. This is not an essay forcing you to believe anything I say, actually I encourage you not to listen to me. You should go research this topic and you decide whether or not animal testing should be banned or not.

  • Animal testing is unethical, unnecessary and unreliable.

Would you allow testing products, etc. on human babies or those mentally disabled because they have lower IQ than the average adult human? Obviously not because it's not ethical. Then how is it that it's okay to test on animals? Yes they may have lower IQ than us humans but that does not make it okay! They feel pain, fear just like us. I believe animal testing should be banned because science has advanced greatly and there are so many alternatives to animal testing that are more reliable. Non-human animals (because humans are also animals) have different physiology and may react differently to certain chemicals than humans. Would you test drugs designed for dogs on parrots? No so why perform unnecessary testing on animals.

  • I strongly believe that animal testing should be banned.

Firstly, animal testing is basically unethical, immoral and cruel. India's famous independence activist, Mohandas Gandhi claimed that "the greatness if a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated". The countries that allow animal testing should follow Gandhi's idea.
Secondly, through science development, there are other alternatives instead of animal testing. For example, in 2010, L'oreal, which is one of the famous cosmetic making company has developed a glass chip made up of human skill cells that reacts to humans natural allergic responses.
Lastly, animals and humans are not same biologically. Some animal testings may fail because of the biological differences. The result of fail is a whole waste of animal lives, money and other resources. For these reasons, I'm strongly against animal testing

  • Animal Testing Should Be banned!

It can kill animals and animals have as much right to live as us! There is no reason to endanger animals! Animal testing does need to be banned! For ever! Animals should have as much right as humans and not be tested on. STOP ANIMAL TESTING! Animals are pets not testers!

  • No it should not.

Although animal lovers may think the opposite, I think it is perfectly fine for animal testing. Imagine, we all have this unknown disease spreading around killing thousands and thousands. We all have no cure. But one day a scientist invented this medicine that may kill the bacteria in your body. What if the medicine was too strong and could damage some of our internal organs without ourselves knowing. The doctors would have to see if the medicine had an effect on the disease but ends up killing many others. We can't blame the doctors but instead shouldn't we blame those who banned animal testing? If they allowed animal testing to be done, many wouldn't have lost their lives. Wouldn't it be worse if we kill more humans than to test it on only 1 animal? Wouldn't it be better, to lose one animal instead of a kin? So my point is, animal testing should not be banned

  • I'm a huge animal lover but ..

I absolutely love animals and feel that animal testing is horrible, however it has also given us huge medical advances that we would have never came upon without animal testing. I don't know if anyone would volunteer their baby for the new rounds of testing but someone has to be tested before the public. If not animals, then who?

  • If it should be banned, people with breast cancer, diabetes and those who rely on medicine, would be dead.

Ultimately, those who are campaigning against cancer should also campaign towards animal testing, as this is how the medicines are tested and proved. A source from the science blog of caner research uk states:

“For many of our scientists working to beat cancer, animal research is an essential part of their jobs. In some areas there’s simply no other way to get the information needed to make progress against the disease.”

So if you’re complaining about how many people in the world are dying of cancer, but also complaining and campaigning against animal testing, you are ultimately contradicting yourself.

The website also states that it has laws to abide,

All our researchers follow strict laws – some of the most stringent in the world – that ensure that animals are treated humanely and only used when there’s no alternative.

Animal research HAS proved to be a great deal of a breakthrough, aiding scientists to find the breast cancer drug, tamifoxen, which is arguably the most important cancer drug of all time, helping to save hundreds and thousands of women’s lives.

  • It's important for everyone.

I just can't believe what big hypocrites some people could be. They're fine with eating all these cows and sheep and pigs and kangaroos and crocodiles and...And... It's just funny. They'd rather eat them than use them to benefit mankind. True, some of them go to cosmetics companies, but just buy those that aren't tested on animals then.

  • It's too important.

Even though I think animal testing is cruel, the fact is, you probably wouldn't be alive either without the testing. Everyone has probably taken some form of medicine, and without it, we all probably wouldn't be here. I think animal testing is bad, trust me, but people are too stubborn to test it for themselves, and lets face it, it's just too darn important.

  • I'm a huge animal lover

But the advantages of animal testing in the medical side of things have saved millions of lives and which would you rather a dead rat or a dead human specially when this testing could save your love ones or friends with major sickness so it's up to you but in the end I love animals but I'm a human and I can't kill my own kind

  • Animal testing should not be banned!

By testing on animals we have been able to save billions of lives and develop thousands of vaccines that have saves children's lives. Say a train was going down a track, and you only had time to say one or the other. There was a dog strapped down, and a BABY. Shame on you if you wouldn't pick the baby.

  • Its Necessary for Mankind

Anybody reading this article must have taken any kind of medicine at least one time in their life. Guess what? All of those medicine were tested on animals to check their security. If animal testing was banned, some of us won't be here. Also, the testing animals are specifically bred for the experimentation, and wouldn't have even existed if testing was banned. Of course they have feelings and rights and everything, but the sacrifice is worth it for mankind.X

  • Dose of reality

Everyone seems to be forgetting that the overwhelming majority of animal testing is done to protect animals. Ecologists study animals, so that we might improve their environment, and offset the effects of humanity (which, by the way, are not going away anytime soon). As an American, this debate is embarrassing. The rights of animals is strictly a first world argument. Let some of these people starve in a poverty stricken part of Africa, and see how they feel about animal rights.

  • If animal testing isn't right, then lets be wrong.

Well all of the people who want animal testing to be banned are ignorant to the fact that not everything can be tested on synthetic skin or "other ways" Most people have used products that have been tested on animals and it has saved their lives. Use this for an example, animal testing has been stopped. Your child contracts a new form of malaria, what do you do? Nothing is the answer because there were no vaccines developed for it so your child wouldn't contract it and your child dies. How would you feel if you were one of the people that pushed to outlaw animal testing. The blame is on you for your child's death. Now can you live with the fact that millions of other children will die from the same preventable disease. Who are you to choose an animal's life over a child's?

How is it that some people suggest that, in spite of the fact that human lives are often saved, medical testing on animals is considered wrong because it is harmful, unnecessary and torturous to the animals: and yet when animals go through worse-than-death-and-then-death procedure for something that is not only unnecessary but kills humans in America (meat production), many of these same people approve of these practices!.... Sorry about that. Oh, I do agree that testing is bad because it is harmful to the animals...I just don't understand why people forget that the perspectives of the animals are important when meat is involved...
