  • If you have ever eaten meat and you say no then you are the biggest hypocrit ever and there are no good alternitives

Animals used for animal testing are bred and grown for the purpose. Is that any different from animals being grown for meat and eating? If you have ever eaten meat in your life, then it's totally hypocritacal to say that animal testing shouldn't be used or allowed or justified. That's why I say yes and so should you. Also, there are no good alternatives. If we try to use humans like prisoners, there would not be enough, and computer based tests can not see if blindness and other things are a side effect to a medicine. Also they aren't that reliable.

First of all, animal testing is not cruel. Cruelty is only when something harmful is done without a reason. Animal testing is reasonable because without animal testing, many cures for cancer and other fatal diseases would not be invented yet. Proof is that breast cancer cures were founded when a scientist found that breast cancer were caused by hormones - he was researching on guinea pigs and found this.

Second, animal testing is able to make future generations not suffer. For example, the Zika virus is the world epidemic at this point. There might be a medical breakthrough soon and be able to let these poor babies to live without having terrible headaches throughout their life.

Thirdly, there is also benefits from animal testing to animals, too. Animal testing is not only pointed towards human benefit, but the research also provides medicine for diseases for animals. When a few animals die from the result of animal testing, many more die from sickness that affect them too. Diseases such as Swine fever and Anthrax hurt animals much more than animal testing does.

Therefore, animal testing provide very many benefits to future generation of all wild and domestic animals and human. This is why animal testing should not be banned also we are the dominate species we need to test animals to help out loved ones and help this world.

  • Think about it...

If you have a heart or a mind, you would realize that animal testing is wrong. If you wouldn't want chemicals and random questionable products being tested on you baby, why would you want to harm your pets? It makes a lot of sense to ban animal testing because it is very unethical. Have you ever seen Lush products? They are all cruelty free and not tested on animals and they make a lot of money by selling bath and body products that are safe for animals and humans. It's not difficult to be successful without animal cruelty. :)

  • Cruel to animals

So oaky it provides us with medicine that's safe for us but only 8% of drugs tested on animals make it to us. Also the animals they use can vary from rabbits (okay there's plenty of them) to monkeys that are endangered personally I think it should be banned because of the facts above. So there!! BOOM.

  • Why would any person in there right mind think that animal testing is a good thing.

The harmful use of animals in experiments is not only cruel but also often ineffective. Animals do not get many of the human diseases that people do, such as major types of heart disease, many types of cancer, HIV, Parkinson’s disease, or schizophrenia. Instead, signs of these diseases are artificially induced in animals in laboratories in an attempt to mimic the human disease. Yet, such experiments belittle the complexity of human conditions which are affected by wide-ranging variables such as genetics, socio-economic factors, deeply-rooted psychological issues and different personal experiences.

It is not surprising to find that treatments showing ‘promise’ in animals rarely work in humans. Not only are time, money and animals’ lives being wasted (with a huge amount of suffering), but effective treatments are being mistakenly discarded and harmful treatments are getting through. The support for animal testing is based largely on anecdote and is not backed up, we believe, by the scientific evidence that is out there.Every year millions of animals are poisoned, blinded, and killed in crude chemical tests being forced to inhale chemicals that are bad to the body.

    * Animal testing costs the American public over $136 billion annually.
Peoples opinions on animal testing differs, some are okay with it if it is for valid medical reasons and tests are done ethically, others refuse to accept animal testing full-stop.

In many cases when animal testing is done it is done when it is unnecessary – for example done when they know a certain ingredient will cause harm, when they know a certain ingredient will kill or harm the animal being tested upon, when testing has already been carried out on the ingredients being tested, when the product is no where near being released, on large numbers of animals when it is not necessary, or when it is simply not required.

There are also then cases when animals are unfairly or cruelly treated, Huntington Life Science is a good example of this, the animal testing was not only unethical but it was found those in the labs were badly treating the animals, such as beating the animals.

A lot of the products you use – shampoo, make-up, shower gel – contain chemicals that are bad for human health, many ingredients they need to test to see what the negative effects are, in many cases chemicals are tested in greater amounts to what is put into a product or chemicals are tested that are found not to be suitable for use on humans. Animal testing can do very nasty things to animals, from sores on their skin through to painful deaths – unfortunately some people do take things a little too far, such as PETA or Animal Aid, but there are real ethical issues in using animals for testing, medical testing many see as acceptable, however when it comes to products that are not necessary to humans such as make-up it is not seen as acceptable to see animals suffer or die.
