Yes, Apple should manufacture computers in the U.S. The Apple brand is loved worldwide, but it is especially loved in America. Americans take great pride in their jobs and could benefit from the good jobs that Apple would provide. Apple would benefit financially from a Made in the USA label and campaign. Americans would like to both work for Apple and buy Apple products. Local production would increase customer loyalty.

  • Absolutely

Yes Apple should manufacture computers in the United States. I do not buy into that "it costs too much to make them here." If Apple would accept lower profits (which really wouldn't truly be that low anyway) then we could have millions of jobs here in the US and it would help strengthen our economy. I just cannot stand it when companies move jobs overseas, just to get cheap labor and higher profits.

  • Manufacturing in the US has advantages

If Apple can manufacture computers in the United States at a reasonable price, then they should do so. By manufacturing some computers in the US, they can save on importation and transportation costs for the American market, which with rising fuel prices is important. Furthermore, manufacturing in the US would be good public relations as environmental and labor standards are higher.

  • No.

There is no way that Apple can manufacture computers in the United States. One reason for this is that the cost of production would be way too high. China is just able to provide cheaper unskilled labor than the United States, and that is okay. Apples are also already expensive enough, and if they were manufactured in the US I can imagine the costs would be insane.
