  • Athletes should be natural.

Athletes should not use drugs to make them better. They should work hard and practice instead. When you have people that start using performance enhancing drugs, more people follow and use more. It goes up and up and up and next thing you know the athletes are all dying and sick from drug abuse.

  • Its a good idea

It is really unfair to all of the other atheletes in the sport that work hard for their skills. Also it is really bad for you to use drugs. Later in life you could make it into the hall of fame in your sport and people would not agree with you that you made it or not. That is why they should get tested.

  • They need to be drug tested

They should be drug tested because it is not fair to the other athletes that work hard to get good. Also drugs are illegal and can cause serious problems for teens. It will effect them in the future. If they start drugs now they might become regular users. Make them take a drug test

  • Athletes should be drug tested.

The increased use of performance enhancing drugs in recent years threatens to damage professional sports even further. We need to test all professional athletes in order to make sure they are not cheating. In this way, we can protect the integrity of our national sports and set a good example for the youth.

  • Keeping it fair

If there is no drug testing then basically drugs are legalised in sport and it would become who has the most money to buy and research into the best drugs. It won't be down to who works the hardest and has the most talent/ability or work ethic it will be based on who knows their drugs best. Not to mention how unsafe and risky it is to take drugs with the numerous side affects present. Why legalise drugs in sport when it is unsafe, unfair and makes the game not interesting. What happens to all those record holders who worked hard and fair at claiming the record for their chosen sport to then be beaten by technology/drug enhancements not raw performance... DRUG TESTING IS A MUST.

  • Athletes should be tested for drugs!

Though this debate has been argued, it is clear that athletes should be tested. Drugs are dangerous, especially steroids. They can make you infertile, reduce your testicle size and give you testicular cancer if you are male. And look and Lance Armstrong, he was a hypocrite, talking about how drugs were bad and how he despised them, but he was a user himself. What if another sportsperson won, and wasn't caught ? Then we'd need to rewrite history so that the true victor can be in the spotlight!

  • Do the right thing!

All athletes should be drug tested. It needs to be certain that the athletes are not enhancing their performance in any way. The only way to do that is by getting them tested. We need to think of the younger generations that look up to the sporting heroes and do the right thing.

  • Doping is cheating

Using drugs while competing in sports is cheating just as per say an illegal hit in football is cheating or as traveling in basketball is against the rules. Not only is using drugs cheating but on a more personal level the use of drugs also puts athletes at risk for serious health problems.

  • Testing is good.

I think athletes should be drug tested because they should be honest to the sport and to the fans. And if they become role models, then they should show good behavior and healthy habits. If they get paid then they should be honest about their work to help ensure that others do the same.

  • So our athletes today can be healthy, parents today inspire kids to grow up and be somebody.

Parents are strict and they care about their kids, if it's a drug test for germs, okay, but if they assume you take drugs well you should be offended. I would. If you take drugs just know that kids are looking up to you and your habit of drugs will show around with friends and family.

  • Not all steroids are bad.

Nowadays, many athletes use different drugs to keep up their performance. Many people feel that all drugs are bad, but that is not always the case. Doctors have created drugs that can help the body without destroying the nutrients we need. Athletes using drugs is not a major problem, yes to the not very smart people taking the wrong ones yes. Though if you are smart enough you can go to a wellness store and find products to help you lose weight or gain strength. You don't have to kill your body to be perfect or at least the way you would like to be, talk to a wellness coach or your doctor.

  • Do you really want this?

Do you want a sport where everyone is taking performance enhancing drugs? Everyone will try to out-do their opponent and the result will be a violent sport much unlike we know today. If players will not be tested this will happen quickly. There are also many side effects of them.

  • Don't drug test, allow for innovation.

We should be allowing ALL varieties of human augmentation for our sports. Steroids, doping, spring-loaded carbon fiber artificial feet, and whatever else man discovers. Sports should be more than just showcasing the freaks of every generation, they should be about showcasing the sum total of human physical innovation, and giving the small tribes which we have compete some individual stake in figuring out the best way to augment the human animal. Otherwise, sports are just an exercise in social and biological Darwinism, something that us humans figured out is a failed concept compared to what we have become.

  • YES for better living through chemistry.

  • Where is the line drawn?

Athletes in various competition take numerous substances to enhance their performance. The governing bodies of those groups have deemed certain substances to be illegal and we, as a society, view steroids as an improper advantage. I question the line sports agencies has decided to draw because it is unknown to the public and only serves to demonize players that, in many sports, risk their lives to a degree in order for entertainment. Why can't a player consult a doctor, have the doctor monitor steroid use, and enhance performance within healthy levels? Doctors use steroids to help patients with illnesses and individuals who are outside the governing bodies of the main sports organizations use steroids responsibly. Why then do we limit performance when performance can be increased safely and without serious adverse effects?

  • There gonna do it anyways probably

Atheletes r suppose to be tested for steroids. How ever some manage to beat the system. Like A-rod for instance if he had kept quiet and not admitted to using steroids he would of probably never of got caught. Im sure many great athletes have use steroids but have never got caught especially football players. Nobody gets that big naturally and look at baseball using steroids has become a critcal part of the game for must hitters. There choosing to use and ruin there bodies in the long run. If they want to do that they should be able to
