Too many times I have been listening to music and reading a forum only to hear too many pop-ups. This is an invasion of privacy and a distraction. This also causes problems in public settings such as disruptions. They should be outlawed and anyone who does this should be fined heavily.

While we can not completely shield ourselves from a mass array of advertisements, those ads that utilize sound should not be deemed illegal. However, their initial appearance should be accompanied by a blaring soundtrack; they should initially be mute, but provide the option of turning sound on.
