  • Read the Constitution

I would like to hear a principled argument against automatic weapons. The Second Amendment clearly states that the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. Do you believe that? If not why shouldn't we just get rid of the Second Amendment altogether? What purpose does it serve? It is to protect us from our government. Should we be forced to protect ourselves from our government with highly inferior weapons?

  • It’s our right

The 2nd amendment clearly says the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. It isn’t a matter of needing the guns, it’s a matter of having the freedom to own these guns. Muslims are a much bigger threat than ar15s or ak47s. We need to ban Muslims before guns.

  • NO they should not be banned.

Gun not living!!! Human is. So human shoot it, and it is not gun fault. It is human fault!!! So we should not ban gun, but more like gun rights for certain people. Such as people who break a law, and maybe they can raise age limit to buy a gun!!!

  • NO they should not be banned.

  • I am awesome.

There should be laws preventing the use of guns irrationally but if the use of guns is imminent and life cannot be saved because of terrorists or gunners, guns may be necessary and use of this arms could become a catalyst in making the general society, hopefully, safer than before.

  • We don't need more laws on guns we need to make better punishments.

Here I will use sodas at school for a example.Let's say at your school you have a vending machine full of Sodas that you can buy.It was good till people started throwing there empty cans on the ground. So let's say the school see there doing that so they take the vending machines. Now the people who threw there can in the trash and who follow the rules won't bring sodas. But the people who threw them on the ground don t care about the rules. They would do it anyways by buying them at the store insead. So the school doesn't need to take the vending machine away they need to make better punishments.Like who ever throws there empty soda cans on the ground will get expeled. That is like guns if we make more rules for guns only the good people will suffer. The bad people will just buy them off the black market or something. That's why we need better punishments. And the only reason why people who target school do it is because they know there's no guns allowed there. That's why we need officers on campus and better security. So bad things like that won t happen.

  • Constitution of United States of America 1789

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

While I have no desire to purchase an automatic weapon, I support my right to do so under the 2nd Amendment for a couple of reasons. If the US government were to be overthrown by a tyrannical leader and use the military to oppress the people, we need to have access to automatic weapons. Secondly, if a foreign invader were to establish control over territories within our borders, they too would be using automatic weapons, and we need to be able to use them against said invaders.

  • NO they should not be banned.

  • The government should not infring on ANY of our rights.

I could care less about having one and if the manufacturers said they weren’t going to sell to civilians I am 100% ok with that. Government, however, should not be making that decision. In the end we are all just people and the idea that people who work for government should have any weapon they want and people who work elsewhere should not is truly revolting.

  • No No No

We legalize automatic weapons, we're just asking for bloodbaths like Sandy Hook and Las Vegas. There is no legitimate reason for an average, non-military civilian to own a gun that has a very high rate of fire. The NRA should be leading this instead of resisting it; if they want to protect the people they are attempting to protect, they should be advocating a ban on automatic weapons and be taking more measures to ensure law-abiding, mentally sane people have guns. It is not essential to use an automatic rifle to hunt a deer or defend your home from burglars. If a situation came up where civilians might need to defend themselves(e.G. Foreign invasion), then the law can be amended. Gun laws are positive laws; we made them, therefore we can change them if necessary.

  • No reason why

If someone can give me a reason for why automatic firearms should be legal, I will be very surprised. There is no need for a fully automatic weapon. It can't be justified for hunting, self defense, or even the right to rebel against a tyrannical government. Giving people fully automatic weapons as opposed to semiautomatic weapons wouldn't make them more likely to successfully rebel against a tyrannical government.

  • Guns just make it easier for terrorist to kill.

All we seem to be saying at the moment is; Oh no, there's been a mass shooting... Let's make guns easier to buy! But making guns easier to buy for ordinary people makes it easier to buy for shooters, too. If there weren't any guns in the first place, there would be no need for "protection". Just look at Britain for example. How tight are their gun laws? And how often is there a shooting?

  • No it should not

Its all ready somewhat legal for people who has level 3 gun license and it isnt a good idea for everyone being able to get automatic weapons. Semi is just find for the regular US citizen and if you want to shoot an automatic go to a special range or join the military
