Should Barry Bonds have been elected into the MLB Hall of Fame?

  • Everyone was doing steroids.

Everyone from that time did steroids. Even with all of the players doing even better because of the steroids, he still stood out. That meant he was better than the rest. Even though he did steroids, he was still better. He still deserves this spot in the Hall of Fame.

  • Greatest player ever

He holds the home run record, he was a god to the game, everyone looked up to him with out him Me and my kid wouldn't play baseball but here we are. The major league of baseball would be a lot different and for the worse, but he played and he played good.

  • Put him in! NOW

I am a 34 year old Braves fan so needless to say the Pirates were not a favorite team of mine in the 90's with Bonds and Bonilla. I hear everybody talking about Bonds used steroids but he was a perennial 30/30 guy each year. He was putting up HOF numbers before his ALLEGED use of PED's. Besides I don't know of any performance enhancing drug that helps hand/eye coordination, which you need to be able to have to put bat on ball.

  • Elect Barry Bonds into the Hall of Fame.

Well , it is simple really !. Yes Barry Bonds admitted he used PEDs. But, if we were to punish and take away any player currently in the Hall of Fame that used PEDs. Well you might as well start from scratch. Everyone admitted to some form and degree that they used various forms of PEDs. If you get real technical simple run of the mill protein drinks can and have been labeled as a degree of PEDs. So, the whole he cheated and took PEDs is absurd. Look at Barry Bonds stats that is what the votes and selections should be based on.

  • Barry Bonds should have been elected into the MLB Hall of Fame.

Barry Bonds should have been elected into the MLB Hall of Fame. He did not even come close this time to being elected into the MLB Hall of Fame, though. I think with all of his achievements that he should be elected into the MLB Hall of Fame at some point.

  • Even without steroids,

Bonds is a good player of baseball and should get credit for that. Its not like he took drugs for every game he played, and SEDs weren't actively inforced. They were banned after Bonds started playing baseball, and bonds should be known for being a good player, not for taking drugs.

  • Absolutely never allow him in.

If he gets in the HOF it would promote the continued use of PEDS.
He might have had the talent to be inducted if he never used drugs but he threw his chance away. As far as I'm concerned Roger Maris still holds the record for HR's in a season and Hank Aaron is the all time home run leader for a career.

  • Cheaters have no place in the MLB HOF

Barry Bonds has no business being in the Major League Baseball's Hall of Fame. He didn't have the skills to compete as a natural athlete so he juiced up, doped up, whatever you want to call it. That doesn't make him a hall of famer, that makes him a faker, a phony, and a cheater.

  • No he shouldn't

As much as it hurts, I do not think that Barry Bonds should be elected to the MLB hall of fame because of his use of performance enhancing drugs. Growing up, Barry Bonds was an idol to many and us kids really looked up to him. He was a great player and everyone was excited when he started breaking records. But it turns out he was using performance enhancing drugs that made him better. That is unfair and against the rules of baseball. He should not of done that. He knew the consequences and now he has to face them.

  • Barry Bonds should not have been elected into the MLB Hall of Fame.

Barry Bonds should not have been elected to the MLB Hall of Fame because he cheated. He used performance enhancing drugs and intentionally broke the ethics of the game. He does not deserve to be honored among some of the greatest athletes in baseball history since be sullied the game.

  • Barry Bonds Doesn't Belong in Hall of Fame

Barry Bonds doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame at this point. He meets the qualifications for induction, but he has dealt with numerous controversies in the past. The Hall voters aren't going to let him in any time soon for his connection with PEDs after all. Without a doubt, he'll eventually receive induction, though.

  • Never.

Barry Bonds should've been in the Hall, he had it all wrapped up. Then he decided being the best of his time wasn't enough and turned to steroids and enhancements. His numbers and records need to be taken down, and he should not even be considered for the Hall of Fame.

  • Absolutely not

Barry Bonds and his whole generation of steroids using fake heroes not only tainted the sport's reputation, but also set horrible examples for future generations of sportsmen and sportswomen. Why enshrine cheaters for all eternity by electing them to the MLB Hall of Fame? That only encourages more of the them.

  • No, the use of steroids makes him ineligible

It's an undisputed fact that Barry Bonds used performance enhancing drugs. The governing bodies have biological proof of that fact (not just hearsay). It was the drugs that made him such a good baseball player, not any training or talent on his part. If he were elected to the hall of fame, then that would open the flood gates and many, many other athletes would begin to use drugs.

  • Barry Bonds Shouldn't Be In The Hall of Fame

Barry Bonds is a cheater and everyone knows it. He used steroids while playing and that is the reason he was able to hit all those home runs. Then he proceeded to constantly lie about it. Bonds cheated the game and because of it, he does not belong in the Hall of Fame.
